&& I’ve been making third-wheeling more quirky and fun since 2012.

My love for photography goes way back. I’m talking all the way back to family road trip days where I would stage my Christmas stuffed animals in the van and take pictures of them using that infamous disposable point-and-shoot film camera. It was a thrill getting those prints back!

But 2012 is when things got serious. I was fresh out of college, having earned a degree in Mass Communication with a focus in Photojournalism. I desperately wanted to make a career out of my (at the time) one true love: photography. 

I was committed. I taught myself portraiture. I practiced all different kinds of photography—from posed newborns to senior portraits, fine art, and more. Those moments led me to start my own business, playing the role of both owner and principal photographer for Chelsea Hall Photography. 

Yes, I’m a photographer who is passionate about making all humans feel comfortable enough to show their true side in front of the camera. But I’m also a cat lady who loves her rescue kitties (Jimi & Audrey), a music junkie who plans her life around shows, and a proud Daytonian who loves lifting up fellow local business owners for the sake of our community.

I’m so jazzed you’re here, so my badass team and I can document candid moments that seriously light up your emotions!

From a distance it might look straight, but when you get close up, you can always see the line waver. And I think that's where the beauty is.

• I live off of Ghostlight Coffee’s cold brew
• As a #plantmama, I’m slowly turning my home into an indoor jungle
• I nerd out on Pokemon GO, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter
• During our session, I’ll probably do a little happy dance at least 3 times
• Scented candles that smell like leaves? Yeah, I’ll take them all
• You might catch me in my living room in Stevie cape twirling to Fleetwood Mac
• But you’ll definitely catch me belting out 90’s grunge in my car because Alanis is a babe

Thanks to my grandparents, I grew up in front of the camera and understood the sentimental value of capturing life in the moment at a young age. I loved thumbing through photo albums and seeing the personalities of family members who passed shine through their pictures. So I guess it’s really no surprise that I grew up to be a documentary, lifestyle photographer!

After I purchased my first DSLR in 2014 I started photographing small weddings for family and friends, slowly started branching out to portraits two years later, then in 2018 I left my job to pursue my dreams as a full-time photographer. Since then I’ve pretty much photographed everything, from senior and family portraits to concerts and motorsports.

When I’m not documenting love stories or capturing life’s little moments, I enjoy spending my free time going to concerts or hanging out at the race track during drifting events, catching up on the yard work for our 1.5-acre miniature orchard, or just relax by playing video games (Spyro, Horizon Zero Dawn, Stardew Valley, & Destiny 2 are my jam!) or watching my favorite shows and movies.

Brittney’s Quirks

• My top-played artists usually consist of The Misfits, Miss May I, or A Day to Remember, but the country music I grew up on will always be a guilty pleasure.
• I love and live for Fall, Halloween, and all things spooky, weird, & unusual!
• You might catch me getting starry-eyed or drooling over any vintage muscle cars and squarebody trucks I see.
• Year-round Iced Mocha drinker, usually from Gem City Catfe.
• I always save the perfectly round chicky nuggies for last; This is the way.
