Dayton Wedding Photographers | Chris & Nicole

I met Nicole and Chris at a friend's New Year's Eve Party this year and we hit it off right away. Throughout the evening, I found out that they live in California and that they were recently engaged. The bulb in my brain started flashing and it was one of those perfect moments where everything fell into place. I was already heading for California for Yeah Field Trip in February, and I was on the hunt for a fun couple to venture through Joshua Tree National Park with me. I asked them to give me the honor of capturing their engagement session, and luckily they were totally up for it! We exchanged info and ran through the details the following months. 

During my trip, we were able to squeeze in two sessions, before they had to head back home. We had our first session at sunset near Skull Rock and then grabbed some Thai at a local eatery. If you didn't already know, Thai food is my favorite, basil chicken makes me weak at the knees. <3 I finished out the night camping under the stars at Black Rock Campground, I'll be writing a quick post on my experience later this month. Our second session was at the Chollo Cactus Garden during sunrise the next morning. I absolutely loved the variety that Joshua Tree gave us and the experience was unforgettable!
